“I had a scar start to constrict on my left forearm. As it did so, it began to cause greater and greater pain and discomfort.
When it got to the point that I would cry from the pain, I went to see my primary physician. According to my medical plan’s structure, he referred me to a neurologist. This doctor did some tests and gave me a diagnosis but recommended against surgery. So, back to my primary physician who referred me to an orthopedic surgeon. This doctor confirm the neurologist decision and said I needed surgery, but it was too difficult for him because of scar tissue that was already present. So, he referred me to a hand surgeon. This doctor said the other two doctors’ diagnoses were wrong and yes, he could do the surgery but it would leave me crippled, severely disfigured, might not work at all and, in fact, it might make the pain even worse.
This whole procedure took 3 months and the pain was increasing.
After talking with the hand surgeon, I went home and decided that it was time to try something else. Western medicine wasn’t getting me anywhere. So, I went through the yellow pages and called six different acupuncturists. Dr. Lee was the only one who returned my call. He said he could probably help ease the pain. So, I made an appointment for the next day.
I showed up for my appointment, scared to death. I had absolutely no idea what to expect. I only knew that whatever happened, it couldn’t do any more harm. After examining my arm, Dr. Lee said he could help. He started with acupuncture, about 8 or 9 needles, and electrotherapy for about 15 minutes. After that, I received an acupressure massage for another 10 to 15 minutes. He said I might not have any improvement right away but that I should notice something over the weekend. (This was a Saturday.)
About two hours after leaving his office, I realized that the pain was decreasing and, in fact, there were periods of no pain at all!! For the first time in 4 years, I had no pain!!!
I had 3 more appointments during the next week and after each treatment, the length of periods of no pain lengthened until now it is the norm. The swelling is 95% gone. The usual place where I experience pain is in the scar itself and he is working on that.
Going to see Dr. Lee and giving Eastern medicine a try was the best decision I have ever made, and I will not hesitate to recommend either one to anyone who asks!!!”

I had some of the best care the motion picture industry had to offer. I had a good orthopedic doctor, a nerve specialist, and some of the
